Mr. Canalia is the Founder and President of the PKPG Companies.  He founded the company on the principle of creating a company that's "Built to Last." He believes this to be possible by having an organization capable of delivering on any project regardless of size or complexity and by doing this, he expects to become one of Chicago's most respected and sought-after homebuilders, recognized for quality and an easy approach to building a home.  

In his role as President, he manages all phases of the development process including working with local municipalities, developing site and house plans with architects and engineers, coordinating with attorneys on zoning issues and teaming with contractors and designers to build out the community.

Mr. Canalia began his real estate development career in the Chicago market, working for one of the city’s largest homebuilders. In the next stage of his career, he spent eight years working for Beazer Homes, one of the nation’s largest home builders, in the North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky markets. While there, Mr. Canalia oversaw the company’s local and regional Purchasing & Operations departments before being named the youngest Division President in the company's history. In his role as Division President, Mr. Canalia ran the company’s Memphis group for over three years. With over 15 years in the industry, Mr. Canalia returned to Chicago and joined forces with Brownstone Companies to lead their development business. His knowledge of assembling solid land opportunities in urban and heavily populated areas fit well with Brownstone’s business philosophy.

Mr. Canalia is a licensed General Contractor in the state of Tennessee. He has participated in the Center for Creative Leadership’s Advanced Leadership Program and has sat on various committees at Beazer Homes.
